Crystallized Projections
Crystalized Projections started with the self exploration of alienation deeply rooted in my feelings that I am not “normal”. I explored the idea of false relationships with human desire to make arbitrary judgments about people, which allow us to be disillusioned that we are getting to know someone without actually getting to know them. I created a feeling of namelessness with relatability; by exploring myself with Others in a shower, a place of safety, contrasted with the vulnerability of nudity. Removing the individuality of my models allowed me to use them as a canvas to further this exploration, helping me investigate parts of my alienation.
