Jack X Proctor- Santa Fe Workshop- Portfolio
Hi I’m Jack!
I am incredibly excited to apply for the Media Coordinator role at Santa Fe Workshops. As a Los Angeles–based photographer and videographer, this position feels uniquely aligned with both my professional experience and my personal relationship to photographic education. From 2013–2018, while attending Santa Monica College, Santa Fe Workshops held a kind of legendary status among my peers—synonymous with rigor, craft, and deep engagement with photographic process. To now be considered for a role that supports and documents that environment feels especially meaningful.
I hold a BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History from CSU Long Beach, and I maintain a deep love for learning, teaching-adjacent environments, and material exploration. Alongside my photography practice, I work in video and sculpture, often incorporating projection mapping and media players into my personal work. For the past five years, I have worked at a social media agency focused on quick-turn branded video content, where I regularly produce interviews, photograph events and red carpets, and edit short-form video for multiple platforms.
In that role, I have also become my team’s de facto technical problem-solver, setting up servers, managing decks and file delivery systems, troubleshooting gear, and supporting live and in-studio workflows. I am comfortable moving fluidly between creative, technical, and logistical responsibilities, and I genuinely enjoy being the person who helps things run smoothly behind the scenes.
The Media Coordinator role excites me because of its breadth: documenting learning in real time, supporting A/V needs for talks and presentations, collaborating with marketing, and shaping a cohesive visual narrative of the summer workshops. I would be honored to experience Santa Fe Workshops from this perspective and to contribute my skills, curiosity, and care to telling the story of the season through another lens.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
